DHL eCommerce and Poste Italiane are celebrating the launch of Locker Italia, a joint venture dedicated to creating a modern and convenient parcel locker network across Italy. This milestone marks one year since the two companies formed their strategic partnership in the Italian and international parcel market.
The official launch event occurred on September 16 in Rome, where the first Locker Italia parcel locker was unveiled. In the coming months, 10,000 lockers equipped with user-friendly interfaces will be strategically installed at key locations nationwide. Locker Italia aims to offer maximum convenience for shippers and recipients by adopting a provider-agnostic approach. Led by CEO Enrico Rosina, the joint venture is committed to delivering a seamless and efficient experience, regardless of the carrier.
“This launch represents a major milestone in the strategic partnership between DHL Group and Poste Italiane. Since April, we have seamlessly integrated our DHL eCommerce parcel volumes into the extensive network of Poste Italiane. With the introduction of Locker Italia, our joint venture, we are introducing a new level of convenience and security in parcel delivery and shipping for both shippers and customers. Our aspiration with this provider-agnostic network is to become the leading locker provider in the Italian market,” states Pablo Ciano, CEO of DHL eCommerce.
