A new ICTT report assesses the real-world nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions behavior of heavy-duty diesel vehicles in the United States measured using portable emissions measurement systems (PEMS). This assessment is based on 160 PEMS tests from engines certified to 0.2 grams per brake horsepower-hour (g/bhp-hr) of NOx.
Paris issued a regulation, which will result in a mandatory parking fee for trucks over 3.5 tonnes, reports Transport and Logistics France (TLF). The new rule is to enter into force on November 1, 2018. As the city councilors of Paris justify: the trucks take up a large area due to their dimensions.

The International Road transport Union (IRU) published a report on the commercial vehicle of the future based on three scenario’s (short term, mid term, long term), in terms of improvements in CO2 emissions, safety and operational efficiency. The report presents a roadmap towards fully sustainable truck operations for long haul, regional delivery, and urban delivery.
