Dutch Parcls gets funding for role-out of white label pick-up-points in Amsterdam

The Amsterdams Klimaat- en Energie Fonds (AKEF), Rabobank, and current shareholders – with a total capital investment of 1.7M – have made it possible for Dutch Parcls.com to open a hub in every neighborhood of Amsterdam. With the fifth hub opening soon in Amsterdam West, Parcls.com already has reach of 360,000 households in Amsterdam and Nieuwegein. Households now have the option to regain full control over collecting all their parcels the way they want it.
With 10,000 users, Parcls.com reduces inefficiencies in the last mile and saves up to 30 percent costs in the last-mile, while providing a great service to their customers. A vast majority of their users pick up multiple parcels in one go. The impact: fewer – very expensive – same and next day home deliveries, fewer missed deliveries, and fewer rides to various pick-up-points, or neighbors to pick up parcels. If picking up isn’t an option, They deliver parcels bundled at their client’s doorstep, zero-emission, with cargo bikes.
