Autonomous vehicle for e-grocery deliveries by Ocado (UK)

 

A trial of a fully autonomous electric-powered vehicle (Cargopod) conducting last-mile deliveries for Ocado in Greenwich (UK) ended this month. The vehicle has delivered groceries to more than 100 customers so far. Read more at Freight in the City.

CargoPod is an autonomous last-mile delivery vehicle built by Oxbotica and running Oxbotica’s Selenium autonomous operating system. During real-world trials in Royal Arsenal, Greenwich, CargoPod delivered groceries to delighted customers. This project is in collaboration with the GATEway project and Ocado Technology.
