LoCITY is a collaborative programme in London (UK) that brings together the full range of stakeholders needed to stimulate the uptake of low emission commercial vehicles. The aim is not to replicate any of the great projects already underway. LoCITY is providing a framework to complement them and generate consistency and cohesion.
LoCITY is increasing the supply, and uptake of low emission commercial vehicles and the associated infrastructure, making it easier for operators to invest in the technology. In addition, a level playing field for low emission commercial vehicles is being developed through new procurement standards.
The LoCITY programme is engaging, supporting and preparing the freight and fleet industry for the implementation of the Ultra Low Emission Zone in 2020.
